About us

Dorothy's Florists was originally established by Dorothy Wimbury in Stockport in 1948. Her son took over the business in the 1960's and continued its success before handing the business over to his son, Dorothy's grandson, Alan.

Alan married Leonarda and relocated the business to Colwyn Bay over 30 years ago. Both Alan and Leonarda have now retired and Amanda Morrissey and Debbie McBreeze have taken over the business.

Amanda joined Dorothy’s over 10 years ago and was soon followed by Debbie. Amanda has been involved with the flower industry for decades ever since she qualified from the Welsh College of Horticulture. Debbie too has a wealth of experience and both are intent on keeping, and building on, the fine reputation enjoyed by Dorothy’s Florists.

Both have helped run the business over the last decade and understand the needs of their customers. They would like to assure all their customers that it’s business as usual at Dorothy’s Florists. All services including a same day delivery service will be maintained.
